Meso-Lipotherapy
Meso-Lipotherapy is the practice of using microinjections of conventional or homeopathic medication and vitamins into the mesoderm or middle layer of the skin to reduce unwanted cellulite and fat in specific areas. Mesotherapy originated in France in the 1950s and is now popular around the world as an excellent alternative to the more invasive procedure of liposuction.
Lipotherapy is an innovative cosmetic application of mesotherapy that specifically targets localized fat deposits and slowly dissolves them with injections of phosphatidylcholine and deoxycholate, a solution derived from soybean lecithin and a bile salt. Lipotherapy is highly effective for eliminating small, stubborn fat deposits like midriff bulge, love handles, double chins, saddlebags, etc. that defy diet and exercise. This modification of mesotherapy was first described in the medical literature by Brazilian dermatologist Dr. Patricia Rittes in 2001.
Belaya’s own Dr. Gregory Daniel trained under Dr. Rittes.
Mesotherapy involves more superficial microinjections of a formula of ingredients that work to dissolve the actual bands that produce the dimpling seen in cellulite. After 3 months, the treatments can be repeated if needed. Mesotherapy usually takes between 30-60 minutes depending on the area being treated and can be repeated weekly for up to 12 weeks. It can be used alone or combined with Lipotherapy.
Lipotherapy takes about 15 minutes per procedure depending on the area being treated. Treatments can be repeated every 2 weeks for up to 4 treatments. After 3 months, the treatments can be repeated if needed. With both procedures there is minimal bruising and swelling and patients can return to normal activities immediately.
