Medical-grade peels are used to treat and repair sun-damaged, unevenly pigmented and finely wrinkled skin of the face, neck, décolleté and hands. Peels remain one of the most popular non-surgical cosmetic procedures because they are quick, generally painless, and very effective. Patients often need only one treatment to give their skin a healthier, more radiant look. Depending on the depth of the peel, recovery time is short. With light to medium peels, a patient can resume normal activity immediately. With deep peels, a one to two week recovery period is sometimes required.
